What is the testing data for Bilio Mask and SilverKiss® materials?

The “Koala” style Bilio Mask performs at high standards for public use. Featuring our proprietary SilverKiss™ antimicrobial technology, both the mask and material result in a Bacteria Filtration Efficiency (BFE) of approx. 90% with a particle size of .27 microns and a Particle Filtration Efficiency (PFE) of approx. 85% measuring with a particle size of .1 microns. Are you developing a Bilio Mask with a removable filter?

We are currently developing a new Bilio Mask style called “Kangaroo” that includes a pocket for our proprietary removable filter called “Joey.” Both of these products are undergoing stringent lab testing with the goal of designing and making the best and most sustainable public use N95 respirator in the world.

What should I do with my Bilio Mask when not in use?

Every Bilio Mask comes with a reusable and sealable pouch for storage. Make sure clean Bilio Masks are stored in the pouch where they cannot potentially be exposed to contaminants, or spread any contaminants already on them. Clean the pouch with soap in the sink and air it out in the sun to dry. As a reminder, please wash your hands before handling your Bilio Mask.

Why does my Bilio Mask have a small hole located on the inside of the nose bridge?

This small hole is intentionally designed with every Bilio Mask for insertion and removal of the nose crimp before a heavy wash cycle. In addition, this design allows Bilio Mask to be serviceable and repairable in the event the nose crimp is damaged from extended use. This aligns with our sustainability initiatives. The small hole is 100% sound in construction and will not come unraveled or fray. Think of this concept much like a hooded sweatshirt drawcord or shoelace hole.

Can I wash my Bilio Mask and how frequently do you recommend washes?

We recommend machine washing your Bilio Mask as often as you like using regular laundry detergent on the warm or hot setting and tumble drying. Hand washing and sun drying is an option using regular detergent, but as per the CDC’s guidance, we encourage machine washing and tumble drying. Air drying in direct contact with the sun’s UV rays and heat, combined with our proprietary SilverKiss™ antimicrobial technology featuring a knit blend of recycled polyester and silver yarns, can help to prevent bacteria growth on the surface. I placed an order, but have not received my Bilio Mask - where is it?

Rest assured that your order has not been forgotten and we are doing our best to get it to you as soon as possible. Due to the current pandemic, processing times for orders are dependent on a variety of factors, including non-negotiable COVID-19 workplace compliance measures and the reliability of USPS transit times. I have sensitive skin and allergies to nickel and latex - will Bilio Mask work for me?

There is absolutely zero nickel and latex content in Bilio Mask. You are safe with us. It is also important to note that certain detergents can leave residue on fabric. This may lead some people to develop skin irritations. For those with sensitive skin who could also be more at risk, we recommend buying a fragrance-free, hypoallergenic detergent.

Has Bilio Mask been tested by a certified third party lab?

Did I order the wrong size?

Like a new shoe, expect fit to improve over 2~3 days as the knit structure conforms to your unique facial features. Be sure to shape the nose crimp high on the bridge of your nose and sculpt it to the rest of your cheek bones to help achieve the best fit and seal. If the ear loops feel tight, give the body of the mask and ear loops a firm stretch to loosen and relax the elastic. If your Bilio Mask is too loose, try running a machine wash and dry cycle.
